What does Clean Copy do?
Clean Copy is a free line-break remover for pasted text. It joins single line breaks into spaces, keeps blank-line paragraph breaks by default, and lets you copy or download the result without uploading a PDF.
How to remove line breaks from PDF text

Choose what to preserve.
Keep paragraphs preserves blank lines between paragraphs. Trim extra spaces cleans spacing. Enable Join hyphenated line endings only when a word was split across lines.
Check and copy.
Read the cleaned preview, then use Copy clean text or Download TXT. Restore any intentional line breaks before using the result.

Copying a report or paper can turn one paragraph into many short lines. Join those lines before pasting into an email or document. Blank lines let the tool keep separate paragraphs.
Words break at the right margin
For a word split like “infor-” followed by “mation” on the next line, the optional hyphen setting can join it. Keep that setting off for intentionally hyphenated words, lists, code or poetry.

How do I remove line breaks from PDF text?
Copy the text from the PDF, paste it into Clean Copy and review the output. Single line breaks become spaces. Blank lines remain paragraph breaks when Keep paragraphs is on.
Can I remove line breaks but keep paragraphs?
Yes, when paragraphs are separated by blank lines. Leave Keep paragraphs on. If the source uses only single line breaks between paragraphs, the tool cannot infer those boundaries; review and restore them yourself.
Does this convert PDF to Word or extract scanned text?
No. It cleans text you paste. It does not read PDF files, run OCR on scanned pages or preserve rich formatting, tables or columns.
Will it remove intentional hyphens?
The optional hyphen setting removes a hyphen between letters at a line ending. It cannot distinguish every split word from an intentional hyphen, so it is off by default.
Is my pasted text uploaded or saved?
